Integrated Program
The Integrated ATP(A) program regroups several traditional training programs, such as PPL, CPL, Multi-Engine and IFR, but also offers the possibility to write your ATPL written exams earlier, as normally only pilots who have accumulated 750 total hours of flight time can write the ATPL exams. On top of the 500 hours of classroom ground school, you will receive multi-crew and CRM ground training, which is very useful for future careers at the airline level.
Recreational License
You have thought long and hard about it, and now you wish to live a unique and exceptional experience? This license is the fastest way to obtain a flight permit that allows you to transport one passenger and take local flights in a Canadian aircraft during the day only. Based on the same exercises developed for the private pilot license, the training required for this permit is less demanding than other licenses.
Private Pilot License
Whether you are making your childhood dream come true or you are making an exciting career choice, the first step is to complete your private pilot training. Our ground school courses and flight training will set you on your way, and take you to your cloud nine! The feeling you experience as you leave the ground at the controls of an aircraft is second to none, it will simply be unforgettable.
Commercial License
Take command of your future career and take to the sky! If a career as a professional pilot interests you, you will need 200 hours of flight experience to obtain the commercial license. Once you have reached this goal, a world of opportunity opens for you. Is there a better career than the one that allows you to work while soaring above the world?
Night Rating
With this rating, pilots are no longer restricted by daylight hours. With an additional 15 hours of training, it becomes possible to fly at night as well as day. There is nothing more peaceful than the sunset falling below the horizon from altitude. The night rating pushes back the limits, opens up a much more flexible schedule and allows you to discover a most calm and beautiful time to fly.
Multi-Engine Rating
The Multi-Engine Rating allows you to experience control of an aircraft with two engines. The training will teach you the fundamental differences between piloting a single-engine aircraft and a twin-engine aircraft. You will begin to see what it feels like to fly an aircraft with more performance and use the procedures similar to those used in operations. Cargair has four Piper Aztecs (PA23-250) to complete the multi-engine training as well as the instrument training.
Instrument Rating
The instrument rating allows you to fly an aircraft in instrument meteorological conditions (IMC). It teaches you how to properly read and trust your instruments, flying without reference to the horizon or the ground. This rating is required for pilots who wish to work at the airline level.
Flight Instructor Rating
The Flight Instructor Rating is open to pilots with a Commercial License and who wish to progress within the aviation industry as an instructor. This is an excellent career path to build PIC hours while getting paid.
MPL License
The MPL (Multi-Pilot License) is a new program in development worldwide. It is gaining a lot of support as a proactive program which gears pilots toward a career in a multi-crew environment. Cargair is working to develop an MPL program. This new program will soon be available for those students who wish to obtain the license.
Ground Course Registration
Cargair offers many theory courses, including: PPL, CPL and IFR.
