Ground Training

25 hours of theory courses
Subjects:

• Transport Canada learning factors and instruction techniques;
• Preparation and use of lesson plans;
• Procedures to plan and present ground theory, pre-flight briefings, post-flight debriefings and in-flight instruction:
• Theory of flight, knowledge of which is necessary to teach the flight exercises;
• Aircraft manuals and limits;
• Presentation of the pilot decision making process:
• Use of the Transport Canada Flight Instructor Guide, the Flight Training Manual, and of Canadian Aviation Regulations and the standards relative to the flight tests, private and commercial licenses – airplane (Part IV)

Written exam pass mark (AIRAF): 70 %
