Recreational License

You have thought long and hard about it, and now you wish to live a unique and exceptional experience?  This license is the fastest way to obtain a flight permit that allows you to transport one passenger and take local flights in a Canadian aircraft during the day only. Based on the same exercises developed for the private pilot license, the training required for this permit is less demanding than other licenses.

Standard: CARs 421.22

 

Duration

3 months (average)

Prerequisites

Age: minimum 16 years of age
Medical certificate 1, 3 or 4


Flight training

25 hours total
    • 2 hours solo (pilot in command)
    • 15 hours dual (with instructor)
    • 8 hours solo or dual

Ground training

40 hours of theory courses
