Josée Prud'homme

President

Continuing the family tradition, Mrs. Josée Prud’homme is president of Cargair/Max Aviation and daughter of the former president and owner of the company, Mr. O. Guy Prud’homme. She earned a B.A.A from the renowned H.E.C. in Montreal and is a lawyer as well. Mrs. Prud’homme evolved through the family company in various positions during her studies. After having practiced corporate law with Fasken Martineau, she returned to her roots and reintegrated within the family company as Vice-President in 1999. Mrs. Prud’homme holds customer service as a high priority, and her door is always open to clients and employees.

Pierre Roy

Vice-President and Director of Maintenance

Maintenance being the crucial center of all aviation companies, Mr. O. Guy Prud’homme wanted to assure the continued focus and insistence on the highest standards of safety in the operations of the company. To fill this demanding role, he was fortunate to bring in Mr. Pierre Roy, who also happens to be his nephew. Mr. Pierre Roy has more than 26 years of experience within Cargair/Max Aviation and has an impressive C.V. and equally as impressive professional certifications. He supervises all aspects of the maintenance operation, including inspections and maintenance of the fleet.

Guy Prud'homme

Chairman of Board

Previous president of Cargair/Max Aviation, Mr. O. Guy Prud’homme paved the way for the success that Cargair/Max Aviation is experiencing today. Intimately involved in the world of Quebec aviation for more than 35 years, he was also one of the founders of the l’Association québécoise des transporteurs aériens (AQTA), which celebrated its 34th anniversary this year. Know and renown, this entrepreneur is always on the look out for new projects to grow his legacy. It is thanks to his devotion, to the importance he always placed on safety and his loyalty towards his clients, employees and his suppliers that Cargair/Max Aviation has become all that it is today!

Lorraine Dumont

Chief Flight Instructor

Class 1 instructor for over 20 years, Mrs. Lorraine Dumont has worked for Cargair for seven years now. She runs the integrated program and oversees all aspects of the flight training, ably supported by her team of senior instructors. Mrs. Lorraine Dumont followed her Class 4 instructor course in 1985, and after four years of training in Trois-Rivières, she achieved her Class 1 rating. Of note, Mrs. Lorraine Dumont owned her own flight school for four years before working for a private aviation college for another 10 years, where she was also Chief Flight Instructor.

Mathieu Desjarlais

Advanced Training Director

After completing his training at Cargair in 2001, Mr. Mathieu Desjarlais became a flight instructor at the school and Captain on the King Air at Max Aviation. Wanting to take on a new challenge in aviation, in 2008 he decided to become Cargair’s Director of advanced training, and King Air training pilot for Max Aviation. Mr. Mathieu Desjarlais is responsible for all training that follows the CPL, including Multi-Engine Rating, Instrument Rating, GPS, CRM, etc.

Pierre Spenard

Director of Integrated Program

Mr. Spenard has a long career in aviation. He worked for Wardair and Air Transat.
In 1999 he obtained his professional license and became a flight instructor. He worked for three years at the ‘’ Collège d’enseignement Supérieur en Pilotage d’Aéronef’’ in St-Hubert. From there he began a ten-year career at Nav Canada as Flight Service Specialist, instructor and Regional Training Specials at the Vancouver ACC, a position he held until his retirement. In 2011 he made a return to his first passion, flying, while providing expertise in teaching. With enthusiasm he joined the training team at Cargair.
